Silkie Dust Magnet

Greetings,

This seems like a stupid question/comment, but I have to ask...

While building, I noticed that the Silkies are apparently sticky, and immediately attract dust. I do not wish to touch the domes in order to clean them, but want to eliminate the dust.

Would a blast of compressed air effectively lift the dust without causing harm to the dome? I'm at work, and can try this or even the vacuum to try and lift it, but it appears as though the adhesion is pretty solid. A burst of air from the mouth didn't dislodge it all.

Not a big deal, and there are only a few specs, but I worry about how to deal with this over time. I'm thinking an RS28 would rectify the issue, lol.

Just last week I used 3M clear packing tape, enough stickums to get the dirt and not enough to harm dome. It was like using a cat hair brush.

Getting better, thanks.:)

Still some overall soreness, but the cuts are getting itchy, which to me has always been a sign of healing on relatively serious wounds.

I'll post some pics of my arm on the dog bite thread later.

it seems to me that an ounce of prevention would be the salution here. after making my through-hole and blowing away the waste, i went for a test fit. yes, the saw dust landed as i watched. perhaps dayton could use a dust cover or maybe just skip the sticky stuff. really bad idea.
