Does anyone have a recommendation for a replacement tweeter to use in a Klipsch KG1. From what I gather this is the same tweeter used in some Cerwin Vega speakers, and was make by Heppner. The tweeters are totally missing from the speakers as they were stolen...LOL! It a long story and irrelevent anyway. It's a favor for someone.

In a week or so I should have the speakers here so I can measure the holes and see what might fit.

Budget about $40.

Watch eBay regularly - at least a couple times a week. I've seen a few pairs in the past and they'll go for less than $40 - not the greatest demand. May take a couple months of watching, but they'll show up. Try the search phrase "klipsch tweet*" (without the quotes).

Some where back in the dark (very dark) reaches of my limited memory, I believe I recall some of the early Klipsch designs used a variation of the Electrovoice T35 tweeter: Klipsch may nave used Electrovoice as the oem manufacturer to build drivers to Klipsch specs. Electrovoice is still used for pro sound apps. Maybe you can source a T35 on them. If not, I hope some of the Klischphiles correct me.

go to Google and find the Klipsch website. call the customer service # and ask about replacement parts. that's how i got replacement drivers for my KG-2's.
