Hi folks,
I'm having a minor situation with the 240 watt plate amp powering my Quatro. Love the amp, it's just perfect for this setup.

I replaced the trim on the wall of my TV, sub, stereo rack, etc, last Wednesday. I unplugged the sub to move it. Plugged it back in yesterday, and darn it, the poor thing just doesn't power on anymore. Checked the fuse, it's okay. Can't figure out for the life of me what the problem could be. It's not the wall outlet, or the power cord. Haven't used it much lately, so I don't know excactly when the problem might have occured. Not much help there.
Doesn't power on in auto-on or the on position.
Just thought that I'd check with anyone to see if there might be any known issues and quick fixes for this thing before I send it back and go sans-subwoofer for a few weeks. I'd hate to go through all that trouble if there's something minor I can do myself.

Might there be another fuse or something inside the amp if I open it up?

Thanks.

out a few months ago IIRC. Some people were sending there's back so that he could operate on them. Never did hear anything back on the results though so I'm not sure if he got around to it or not.

Well, I don't know for sure, but IIRC that had more to do with the odd low-volume issue some of us were having. Maybe I'm wrong?

Anyway - I do want to add that I think this really is a great amp for the money...I'd happily buy another in a heartbeat. Given the number of of these PE must sell (the 15" Quatro/240 combo is really popular) I think I'm a statistical anomalie here with my issue.

Hi Ken,

Yeah, the issue being discussed previously was regarding the gain of the amp, not the auto-on.

I don't really have any ideas as far as your issue, other than maybe the detachable power cord it isn't quite seated all the way. I don't think there's any other internal fusing or anything.

If you don't get it figured out, talk to a tech or send me an email.

Take care,

Darren
