Was wondering if using the magnetic grill guides; does it affect the driver if used in close proximity? I'm using the Fostex FE206E driver in a BLH...

It shouldn't. They're pretty small. Consider the size of the magnet on your average tweeter. The flux from something like that is magnitudes greater and a lot closer to the woofer motor, yet there's never been any measurable anomalies.

Just a word of caution…I tried using very strong, rare earth magnets to hold on speaker grills. Even though the magnets were extremely strong, they did not hold the grill on. I hope that it works for you better than it worked for me.
