HI

Anybody out there ever powered a 15"Quatro, 3 cubit foot sealed, with 500 watts or more???

I modeled it in unibox, even with the 240 watt amp it runs out of excursion below 36hz.

You can power it with more power than the 240 but you won't gain anything really. If you do, bue careful setting up your gain and such so as to not send it into overdrive.

There is at least one guy out there that I know that is using the 500-watter with the Q15, maybe Jack will pipe inhere and let you know his thoughts on the subject.

What 15" sub would you suggest to match up with the PE 500 watt amp??? I am primarily interested in HT, and I love the effect of a subwoofer.

Since you brought it up, were't you one of the guys on teh HTT forum who encouraged me to get that 500 watt amp? Anyway, mine's in a 5.5 ft3 (or so) poted box. I've had nothing from it but great sound. I don't know how much difference the extra power makes, but I have used the parametric equalizer on it.
