1/2" MYLAR DOME TWEETER

Rectangle-faceplate mylar tweeter was used in a classic BIC Venturi speaker system. Frequency response is better than what is found on many other similar Mylar tweeters. Bucking magnet reduces stray magnetic field.

Specifications: *Power handling: 15 watts RMS/30 watts max *VCdia: 1/2" *Re: 7.25 ohms *Frequency range: 3,000-20,000 Hz *Fs: 2,600 Hz *SPL: 91 dB 2.83V/1m *Dimensions: A: 3-1/2" x 2-1/2", B: 1-3/4", C: 7/8".

and looking for a crossover design for them....

Also looking for any feedback on performance, or Freq. response curves..

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I just ordered 6 of them....

crossing the NSBs that high! Twice tweeter FS is 5200 -- in my experience too high for the NSBs. But if I am wrong and you wind up with a great sounding project, I will be eager to hear how you did it!

There are probably ways to knock the breakup down, but it's just not worth the cost with those drivers!

Those $4 Dayton Neo tweets are a much better match IMO.

First, I agree with Dan and Chris, there may be more cost effective tweeter choices out there, but for sake of argument, one can sometimes cross close to the fs of a tweeter if a shunt conjugate network is utilized to level the impedance peak at fs. I say sometimes, as the driver has to be capable of the excursion required at the lower crossover frequency without undue distortion. I've not tried this tweeter, nor have I any data on it, so this is all supposition. I merely suggest it up as a possible alternative, and perhaps an interesting experiment.
