I have a pair of Jensen home stereo speakers as front L/R channels in my home theater setup. They consist of a 15" woofer, 4x10" horn midrange & 2-Piezo bullet tweeters. Using the speakers as p.a. blew the midrange horns and also the tweeters. I could not find exact replacements, so I replaced the midrange horns with your #280-050 horns. I also replaced the tweeters with your piezo bullet tweeters. The all fit and work ok. Here is the problem: The SPL and effenciency of the #280-050 horns are so much greater than the original horns, the upper midrange is way, way overly bright and overpowering the bass. Can you recommend a remedy for this inbalance? In straight stereo mode, I can make some correction with tone controls, but in surround mode, my receiver controls the eq.
Thanks so much.

If it's just a matter of the horns being too loud becasue they are way more sensitive than the old ones, i would recomend thet you use an L pad to bring them down. Now that could be fixed or variable, personally i like the variable so i can dial it in, then you could just hide them inside the cabinent.
