Just _how_ directional are horns?

I'm thinking of trying a pair of those Peavey plastic speaks in The Bunker... I've heard some of the 15s at a local pub's karaoke night, and they seem okay, and I'm thinking that they'd be fine for the fronts and center, but I'm really wondering about the sides... Sofa #1 is approx 12' from the screen, and the room is 17' wide, so the center would be about 8.5' or so.

Horns as in tweeters or mids? if so, the horn
has dispersion specs. If you aim the horn at the listener all is good if unsure.

It will be dependent on the horn. Most give dispersion angle ratings, ie. 40 degrees vertical, 120 degrees horizontal.
