I have an amp and capacitor that I want mounted on my speaker box so I can take all of them out all together as often as needed. I am constantly hauling things in and out of my vehicle. I am trying to prevent from having to always unscrew every little wire to get my system out. Here is the vehicle and list of items for your information:
1. 2000 Rodeo, V6
2. 1850 watt AMP kit includes:
a. 20 ft. 8 gauge Power Wire
b. 4 ft. 8 gauge ground
c. 20 ft. 16 gauge remote
d. 20 ft. Right Angle RCA Interconnect Audio Cable
GOLD Plated Fuse AGU Type 60A
I just purchased the “ 8 gauge Breakaway Power Connector / 50 AMP (part #263-110)” for a quick disconnect for the Power and Ground wires.

I also purchased the “In-Line Fuse Holder (part# 070-609)” for a quick disconnect for the remote wire.

Purchased both items from “Parts Express.”
Please email me and let me know if this will work and for more advice. Thank you,
Ray

My truck system is one big box - subs, mains, and internally-mounted amplfiers. I use two of those 50 amp DC connectors you're talking about (one for each amp) and a custom molex connector to run the power and ground for the crossover, EQ and fans, ground for the head unit, remote turn on, and the line level interconnects through. Whole system is in and out in two minutes if you have a furniture dolly and not worth the effort if you don't :-).

you can put these connectors together in a variety of combinations, pretty slick if you ask me.

I have only one 10" kicker solo X powered by a punch 502s. Which weighs a buttload, the dolly is a wonderful idea.

Not familiar with that. What and how do they work?
