Boxing Day? OK, OK south of the border it may mean "going to knuckles" for one reason or another, but north of the border Dec 26th is Canada's version of "Black Friday". Of course with some of the "bargains", there may be a punch or two thrown here as well.
In Western Canada, Future Shop is advertising the HTR 5890S as "XM Satellite Radio Ready" for $699CDN.
The problem here is that the new HTR 5990 is "XM Satellite Radio Ready" while the 5890 isn't. In any case, it might be worth a trip to FS to rattle their chain and get more of a discount for the misleading advertising, or demand a 5990 for that price! Now that would be a bargain!
Oh yeah, the website claims that this model is "sold out", but the sale doesn't start until tomorrow morning in their stores. This is not unusual for them:(
Whatever, I bought a RX-V1500 from A&B Sound in October and am thoroughly enjoying it.
Me? Naw, I don't line up for uber-sale stuff on the day after Christmas, but there are bargains to be had for those so inclined:)
