Technical HiFi 2U pro 1500watt Amplifier.
There advertised everywhere for $179.99.
I know with Home theater use it would need a **** load of EQ'ing.
It's so cheap, it was just a thought.

Ken,

No I've never used it, or even heard of it, but there ain't an amplifier that's built correctly in the world that needs EQ'ing. I can't imagine that this one would.

Now, as for the power levels... They sound more like "If lightening strikes" numbers... My guess it'd do a solid 100-120 watts 8 ohsm, 150 at 4... if that.

Ohhh... Baby. Come to Buthead!!
It's got iridescent blue LED meters!!! I'm sorry.. but I gotta have one now!!: ))

Seriously though. At that price it's disposable. Forget the 1500 watt graphic on the front, if it delivers a solid 150w/ch @8ohms it'll easily outrun the best AV receiver around. There's a whole lota super cheap stuff flowing out of the far east these days, it just might work alright.
I seriously doubt it will come anywhere near it's published specs for any amount of time, probably won't like driving some big ole power hungry low impedance subs, but who knows.... Somebody is just going to have to try one and report back.

Their 3KW model will do about 400W/CH at 4 ohms 20hz~20Khz, and clips at 550W at 1Khz.

1500 watts? yeah, peak to peak, just before it bursts into flame and melts into a pile of plastic and aluminum, but you will have to plug it into 220 volts on the 120 volt setting and stand back as you hit the power switch! but i agree, the blue lights are cool!

I really like the look of those "blue ice" amps.. all except for the blue ice logo. but anyway, seriously, they at the very least look cool... and i'm REALLY curious to see whats inside these amps. Interestingly enough, i'll bet all these amps use similar output stages....if you notice, power into 8 ohms is similar for all the amps. Might just be bigger power supplies you are paying for with the bigger amps...i dunno. I'm really curious to have a look inside some of them though. :)

Please pick up your phone and call Parts Express to talk to someone who can tell you about the amps they carry. Seriously. Crown and QSC. You cannot beat the price and performance of these amps. The Behringer amps may prove themselves in time, but QSC and Crown have proven reliability now.
