I was just wondering if the speaker project in the "link" would create any horrible sound effects? The four pink speakers are going to be Dayton 8's, the 16 orange NSB's and the yellow tweeters to be determined. I just want it to be different. Don't you like my 6 y/o son's drawing? :) Robert.
Robert, your son is going to be a great designer. Maybe on his free time he might be able to whip me out a design. Love the work
...you'll have a great bass end. However, depending on series/parallel arrangement, you'll have several beaming lobes vertically coming at you. Due to side-by-side MTM points, you'll have limited horizontal dispersion, and *have* to sit in the sweet spot. I think your wiring scheme should be drawn up before anything else can be determined. Remember that esoteric doesn't always sound good, and different is in about the same league. You can have different, and have it sound pleasing. Do you already have all the drivers mentioned and are you trying to use them all? Maybe there is a better looking scheme....

I would probably avoid the horitontal alignment of the mids, but if you want to stick to the design you have maybe you could still use all the drivers as drawn and just not connect all of them? That way you could retain the appearance you want, but the sound would be better, possibly.

Yeah, but I should just redesign it all and make something else. Thanks for your time. Robert.
