Which foam is better for large 3-way speaker cabinets? Egg crate acoustic foam (part number 250-516) or Sonic Barrier acoustic foam (part number 260-520). What thickness should I use?

The standard itchy old fiberglass works as well if not a bit better for the price. Be sure to buy the fiberglass bats that have no paper backing on them if you decide to use this material. The egg crate foam is another great choice, although I believe the the egg crate foam used on mattresses is much cheaper and works as well as that sold at PE, if you are looking to save a little money.

If you use the fiberglass, I would install it outside of your house and wear the proper safety equipment, and follow the safety instructions on the package.

The fiberglass sounds like a good idea. I have already spent so much on the drivers alone, so your suggestion makes a lot of sense to me, thanks.
