Crown Power Amp & Pre Amps or Receivers

I bought a Crown Power Amp from P.E. & for now I
only have old amplifiers, receivers, & electronic
crossovers, no preamp for an external volume, bass, treble control. My electronic crossovers volume control works but why do the amps or receivers in / out not work?

How do you have them connected? If one of your receivers has a pre/main loop with little jumpers installed, remove these jumpers and connect the power amp to the pre jacks.
