Now, like most here I am more fond of free-standing speakers. Something about the look, imaging, and soundstage. But I have provided the link for these in-walls to a number of folks who have bought them and love them. Audiophile for we hoity-toity golden-eared denizens of digital delight who can hear the pizza eaten for dinner gurgling in the vocalist's tummy when she breathes -- no. Very very very good bang for the buck for those many folks who want in-walls to sound decent, work for HT fronts and/or surrounds, and be out of the way -- absolutely.
