Just finished a three way with an 8" Audax, RS52 dome mid, HiVi RT1F ribbon and a rearfiring ND20F. some buyout drivers, but a pretty nice box. Finished with Duratex

Lookin' good, Lou. I like the look and the name is perfect. Did you design-in the BBC in the frequency response, or did it just happen?

Does the rear tweeter add a noticeable difference to the sound? I had plans to use the cousin to the one you used in the 4-ways I built last year, but when I mocked it up during voicing, I didn't notice a significant change. So I left it out. I was even going to use two DPDT switches to select from three different XO frequencies and three different attenuations.

Thse are really sharp... that finish is very "earthy", would go nicely with a variety of furnishings/etc.
I wish I'd picked up some of those Audax, sure could use them now.
Nice!!

No it was concious. Actually tweaking the mid is fairly easy, figured I could take it out if necessary.

The closer the boxes are to the backwall, the more dramatic the effect becomes. Four feet out and the effects are minimal. The attenuator helps a lot with fine tuning, the phase change does virtually nothing.

Those Audax buyouts are very impressive. I put two of them in ~2ft^3 boxes as the bases for line arrays of NSB and the same tweeter you've used on the back of these. The bass is really good, almost as deep as when I had a single Peerless 8" CSX in the oversize box, but much more output.
