got 15TBX40 - nice woofer. could go 2-way with horn but tempted to try 3-way with 6" mid and slot radiator. already have ST324 + Alpha 6 - might be stretch for Alpha 6 to reach ST324.

how would ya folks build around this woofer? would 6-7" midrange sound cleaner than 2-way and how might midrange xover be designed to work well passively?

Well, I'd cross that woofer no higher than 600Hz. The choice of 3-way or 2-way is dependent on your preferences and what tweeter you want to use, of course. Me, I like 2-way designs, but if you plan to use the ST324 supertweeter, it should not be crossed lower than about 4KHz so a 3-way design would be necessary. The Eminence Alpha 6 should cover the band from 600-4KHz with no problems. Are you building a speaker for sound reinforcement or for hi-fi usage? If for hi-fi you may want to choose a different mid and tweet... but again it depends on your personal preferences.

be for ~"hi-fi" in a living room - wonder what would make good sound on vocals using passive networks? its not limited to ST324/Alpha 6. Alpha is fairly clean as direct radiator and limited to ~2K or so on horn.
