Was looking at some face plates for L-pads and a few had -2db on the left and + 2db on the right? Why do they print that? Don't they cut down more than that if on the left since and go up to the driver's level on the right? Or is there a db adjustment level limit with an L-pad?

It all depends on the particular L-pad and how it is designed. I would think it would say in the specifications how much variance you can get, but having never bought one, I really don't know for sure.

I need to reduce my tweeter (Emimence APT:80) from 105 dB to match 95.1 dB Hammer/Beta 8A woofer.
Since that 105 dB is not constant, I wanted to be able to tweak it from the outside.
So I guess I would need an L-pad that can drop at most 10 dB at the least 5 dB.
