Nice! Gotta get up to see it, in my abundant spare time!

Three words: cool, cool, way cool! (Ok, that's four).
Does your infocus have dvi or hdmi input? Or are you using component? I've tried both with my optoma and, believe it or not, I think component looks best.
Good choice with the infocus. I almost went with the 4805. Good gotta-have-it-right-now compromise until hd models come down in price, more hd programming becomes available, and sony and toshiba are done duking it out. I've seen a few 1080i/p models in the $5000 price range already. Give it two years and they'll be less than $1500 for a basic model. Can't wait!
BTW, curious if you've ever noticed the infamous and dreaded dlp "rainbow" effect? I see it now and then, but I have to really try -- i.e. scan my eyes from side to side of the screen very fast. I'm not at all bothered by it. The outstanding image (incredible color and contrast)I get from the my optoma h31 far outweigh the very occasional rainbow I see.

I use component video to the computer input on the SP4800. It doesn't have component inputs per se. Or DVI/HDMI.
Yea, I'm waiting for this projector to wear out and go to HD -- we'll see if HD DVD or Blu Ray stays around or which one wins. Despite that, the InFocus is amazing even at it's resolution. Sattelite/Dish HD is tremendous. I just can't sit closer than 10 or 11 ft because of screen door. But sitting at 16 feet, no sd, and it's still big with the 120" wide image.
I've seen rainbows, but not regularly and it doesn't bother me. Just like you said, when you move your eyes from side to side...

Ah, but how is it on Mr. and Mrs. Smith?

Dave,
Very nice work so far...good to hear that you're able to enjoy it while construction is...in progress. Nice touches with the doors on the equipment rack and your media storage area.
We have the Optoma H27 (w/ 92" GreyWolf screen)and are very happy with it (and will be) until HD gets a lot cheaper.
As it gets colder outside we appreciate having our 7.1 system inside.
Looking forward to seeing pix of the finished product.
Cheers, Bruce

Dave,
It's been at least a couple of years since you started that project. Glad to see it coming to an end soon. Looks good. If I ever get to make up North, I'd have to visit both Dan and you.

Haven't seen it yet. Need to do some dvd shopping for sure.

And probably at least another year until the theater is "finished" (in quotes because I'm sure it'll never be totally done).
Likewise, if I ever get down your area.
