my non-named project. I was going with the rear mount Dayton Neo tweeter but have decided to go the Morel route. I love the sound of morel tweeters. Many don't like it, but I do. Glass actually sounds like glass when it breaks, etc. etc. So it appears as though this bad boy is going to be in the High End category next year. If I use the HM130Z0s (I will if they are allowed--see post below), the driver cost alone comes out just shy of $550.00. That doesn't include crossover parts. See link for tweeter and any comments you may have on this one. I would like to hear from someone who has used this tweeter and have their honest opinion on it.

I've used the Morel 37 before, and it's very smooth. Perhaps I did not implement it correctly, because I would not describe it's response as "airy" or "extended". If that's important to you,
you might want to look further.
YMMV,

Most people strive for smooth and integrated. It sounds as though this wasn't what you were looking for. Was it not airy or sizzly enough for you on the top octaves?

Well, no, but I've gotta dismiss "sizzly". I've heard enough systems with sibilant vocal "sses" to be wary of that response.
Latest high-end DIY experience was listening to a couple of Jim Griffin's designs using Aurum Cantus ribbons. Wow.
That's what I like.
In looking at the official FR graph, it looks good
out to 20K. Maybe I get a bad pair (they are pretty old.)

Yup, it looks pretty smooth and Morel spec sheets are pretty accurate for the most part. The top octave will probably droop down a few db by the time it gets to 20,000hz and grill cloth factors. I needed it for the SPL. That Eminence woofer I have is 97db efficient. Take 4-6 db out for BS and you're still at 91-93db efficient. I'm striving for 93db or close to it. That was the primary factor in choosing this tweeter. I've used the MDT-20 before and was satisified with it's sound. Thanks for the comments as it does help out. Sounds like it's not to bad from what you're saying but may take a little extra work to get it to sound right.
