Amazon has a regularly $109.95 air staple gun on sale for $29.95 Shipped. Today only. It looks like a good deal. I'm buying one. I don't think it can hang with a Porter for full time use but for projects like ours it looks great to me. They also have a deal where you can get it with the matching brad nailer for about $100 for both.

Forgot to mention it only shoots up to 1" long but that works fine for holding 3/4 MDF good until the glue dries.

If I had to do it all over again, I would have bought an air nailer instead of electric. Don't get me wrong, I can drive a 1 1/4" brad almost all the way into a piece of MDF if I have the nailer cord plugged directly into an outlet. However, if it's plugged into a 25' extension cord it only goes in about 1/2". Also with air you can adjust the amount so you can counter sink the heads a 1/4" or so.

I'm spoiled by having a Harbor Frieght store about a mile away from my home. Once a week I head over there after payday just to pick up something new. No, it's not the best quality, but for part time woodworking I'll take it.
The link is for their brad nailer/stapler that is currently on sale. Oh, and if you're on their mailing list, you get coupons for fifteen percent off ANY price, so the nailer pictured would be total under twenty dollars.
