View Full Version : Building LouC's Rubies
I ran across LouC's Ruby project a couple of weeks ago and discovered that I had the drivers and most of the XO parts on the shelf.
The remainder of the parts just came in, and I'm now feeling well enough that I'm willing to turn on the table saw (first time since before Thanksgiving.)
Anyway, the box parts are cut. Now it's time to glue up the tops, bottoms and sides; while that's drying I'll mill the baffle cutouts. I also have to try a veneer experiment; I'll let you know how it works out.
Nice to be feeling well enough to build speakers again!
Best regards,
Bill

Glad to see you're up and feeling better. Keep us posted with lots of pics on your build.

Glad to hear you got up and around. You may even finish yours before I finish mine! I'm really impressed with the D25 so far. Let me know what you think.

Lou,
As is my wont, I built the crossovers and hooked up the raw drivers sans baffle. Obviously the bass was lacking, but I was very impressed with the mids and highs. That's what motivated me to wander down to the basement and make dust.
It looks like a nice clean design. Thanks for sharing it. I'll let you know when I get them done, which certainly won't be before Christmas.
Best regards,
Bill
