Suppose i wanted to spend about $800 on the speakers, and I wanted a D'Appolito upper, with two 12 inch woofers on the bottom, what would you all suggest for the 10 speakers?

I'd probably go for Electronic crossovers.

What would be your suggestions?

Uhh... 12" woofers or 10"? Either way, the Dayton Referance series subs get pretty high approval 'round here. TC sounds also has some nice drivers. Infinity Kappa Perfect subs are alos supposed to be very good. What are you going with for the mtm's?

MTM. Peerless 831882 6" woofers, crossed to the Peerless HDS at 1800Hz, LR4.

Dual 12" woofers. Peerless 830669 crossed to the MTM at 300Hz, LR2.

That should fit your budget and produce very low distortion sound and good sensitivity of over 91dB/2.83V midband after BSC.
