Kenwood control amp problem

I've got a KC-206 Kenwood control amp that lights up when turned on and the digital power bar blinks 3 times then freezes at 4 of 10 regardless of the volume setting. The remote light also comes on and no sound comes out when connected to a power amp. All the control inputs work but when the unit is turned on I hear a click, 3 flashes of the power bar then it freezes. Any idea about the cause of the solution is appreciated.
