The first is off topic but just too cool not to tell. I stopped at Lowe's to look at Husqvarna trimmers. I saw two of them sitting on the ground under their trimmer display. I asked about them (they looked used) and found out that they were returned.

"How much for the trimmers?"

"Let me ask my manager."

- 5 minutes later she returns with her boss-

"We don't even carry the one model, We'll sell them for $25 each."

"I'll take both!"

So for $53 OTD I have two trimmers worth $500!

The next deal has been going on for some time. A friend of mine gave me his 2002 Monte Carlo SS. It's been rear ended causing about $3500 worth of damage He had just changed his insurance to PLPD 2 weeks before.

And now the on topic part of this post. He couldn't get his subs out of the trunk. So he told me I could have them also.

So now I have TWO MTX 9500 10" subs!

Any ideas what I could do with these? I'm thinking one in a sealed box might be nice.

Sweet, sounds like it's time for a trimmer-sub combo, but I don't really know how that would work out...

Funny. Maybe I should compare the two.

Trimmer weight 9 lbs each
Subs I took two people to lift the box.

Trimmer 1.2 HP @ 9000 RPM

Sub would sound like crap at 9000Hz

OK that's kind of stupid, I need to go to bed.

Good night,

Some younger dude bought a 10" 9500, and used a pair of plate-amps to power it. Since you have *TWO*, you could series/parallel, and use the 1000W plate-amp. Put them in a nice enclosure of the right alignment, and you could have a nice HT sub.
