I have had trouble with a rattle in the woofers of my Baby II's. I replaced a woofer on one and then had the same problem on the other. I was told the issue might be a small diaphram in the woofer that comes loose. Does this sound correct? Should I replace the woofer again or is there something smaller that I may be able to fix? I know it was a pretty popular speaker. Does anyone have experience with this?

You have to first make sure that the "rattle" is actually from a woofer that is coming apart. Most rattles are usually due to loose screws that need to be re-tightened. If you have a test CD with tones, play specific low bass tones to determine where the rattle originates. If a woofer has a loose cone, surround or spider, it can easily be re-glued. Rubber cement or silicone will work well. You can thin silicone with Lacquer thinner then pour the mixture into a disposable hobby syringe for precision or pinpoint application. They also have specialty adhesives made just for speaker repairs.
