I've seen a lot of posts on Joshua Judges Ruth, which is a good album, but I think that the Road to Ensenada is even better. The quality of both of these recordings is also excellent.

I haven't heard Live in Texas, but I own all of LL's other CD's (I believe). IMHO Lyle Lovett and His Large Band is easily the best of his recordings. It's probably the best recording I've heard. Playing "I Know You Know" on my Schumakubins, I would swear he's standing right in the room with me. Just my $.02.

Wild Women Don't Get the Blues is sung by Francine Reed, a member of the Large Band. She really belts it out. I get a smile on my face every time I hear this song.

The live CD is worth the price. I would have bought it just to hear Wild Women Don't Get the Blues, but Penguins, Closing Time most of the other cuts are very good as well.

I'll definitely pick up that disc then. I love Francine's voice - "What Do You Do / Glory of Love" is a duet with her and LL from "...and His Large Band". It's my favorite song on the album.
