Anyone out there know where to get a custom PCB made? I'd like to find out about getting some XO boards made for a common topology, 2.5 and 3 way systems.

I send a lot of our prototypes at work to PCBexpress. Seem to be very good quality quick-turn boards.

my dad had a few boards made through them, turned out well!

I make my own using perfboard for wire wrapping and such and large gauge bare copper wire.
You can strip #10 or #12 wire or buy it at a hardware store already bare.
Bend the bare wire into the shape of your traces and lay it on the back of the perfboard.
Push the leads from your componets through the holes on the board and bend them around the bare wire and solder.

I need a bunch of these boards for upcoming projects.
But I like the idea of the heavy wire and bending the leads around them. Sounds like a great way to do one-offs.

Main reason to use a PCB board; THEY LOOK COOL.

Pete,
Have you seen these over at MAD. The matrix ones look interesting.

I've used them. The only thing they're missing are holes, for wires and mounting hardware. But they are very versatile and sharp looking. I guess I could make a drill mask and do a mass run of through holes for both wires and screws or tie-downs.
may have to revisit that possibility.

I just got a batch of amp pcb's made last week. VERY fast, good quality.
Watch your drill sizes with any of the quick turn shops! They have pre-set sizes, and sometimes they round down. For instance, I've had 1-watt resistors not fit, but half and 2-watt fit fine. Default library footprints on some pcb layout tools may end up with hole sizes too small - check them against the pre-set sizes and redefine them if necesary.
