I know PE has one, but it does not fit my requirements. I need one that can go from at least 35 degrees, to around 1700 degrees Fahrenheit. Does anybody know one that costs a reasonable price and is reliable that could do this?

I would also like it to be able to read water temperature without reading the material below it, but I don't know if thats possible. I could use a physical device, but I don't think any exist that could measure it in 3 seconds at very low quantities and withstand that heat of the materials near it that I would likely touch with it.

Thanks.

Just looking around you will need to spend a
pretty penny (250+) just to get that high of a
temperature. Most of the "cheaper" ones (<150)
will only do to about 1000 degrees. I was looking
here: <A HREF="http://www.professionalequipment.com/infrared-thermometer/">http://www.professionalequipment.com/infrared-thermometer/</A>

Son of a......well, at least thats a better price and product than what I found. But I'll have to find allot of uses for it to compensate for the price.

Thanks.
