So I've noticed quite a few drivers have this little suck out at around 1k-ish. What causes this anomaly ?

I think it's the sudden transition between the outer edge of the cone and the surround. Or it could be a glitch in the matrix.

I only say that 'cos it seems weird that it would happen with a 15" woofer, and a 6" woofer, at the same frequency. You'd think that with smaller cone it would happen higher in frequency. Or maybe it's the transition between the cone and the dustcap. But it's not so bad with rubber surrounds.
