Please, I need Technic help.
I am looking for a good woofer to use in a granite box (aprox 160 x 970 mm) which already has cut its done. The maximum that cut of be have woofer is aprox140 mm.
I thought that 18W/8531G Revelator would be the ideal solution, but it needs to cut-of of 156 mm.
The technical data are less important because the crossover will be built yet, but needs to the woofer is 8 ohms and fit in the box to him.
I did a test with the woofer HU631 (cut out 141 mm) of Morel and the result was very good, but lacked a little more bass.
I want to use active or passive crossover with cutting around 2.5/3k.
I used this box for a long time the woofer 17W75XL of Dynaudio. The HU631 showed better resolution and more detailed mid, but lacking bass.
What do you think about that?
Thanks

But use two of the four ohm versions to give you 8 ohms total. How much total volume do you have to work with?

This one's close to the size of the morel you mentioned:

I'd still use two of the 4-ohm ones if you can, you'll get much better bass. If not here is the 8-ohm version: http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?&Partnumber=295-364

Try the HiVi D6.8. By my calculations, it requires a 136.5 mm cutout and it will do a 2.5-3 kHz crossover more comfortably than the RS series drivers. The 6.8 can produce a lot of clean bass in 15-20 liters ported relative to most drivers out there.
The RS150's flange is only 150 mm, which may make the 140 mm cutout a little iffy. The best designs I've heard cross the RS150 at or below about 2 kHz. The RS180 really should be crossed at or below 1.8 kHz for best results.

Your granite box is 3-D, correct? What is the 3rd dimension? How big is that box again, exactly? What are the dimensions INSIDE (we need to be able to calculate the interior volume available to the woofer in order to pick the correct one for you.
It SEEMS like a 7" woofer will be too big, yes?
I think you'll need a 6", a 6-1/2" MIGHT be OK, but it seems too big as well.
Is this granite box ported, or only sealed?
When you initially said the box was 160mm, is that WIDE, because if it is, a 6-1/2" woofer will be wider than your granite box.
It will probably be hard to match the performance of a Dynaudio woofer.

Sorry information, friend.
The correct dimmentions are:
126mm (Wide), 970mm (high) and 390 mm (deph).
But the maximum that cut of be have woofer is aprox140 mm. Is very difficult to me change that.

It has a larger XMAX, A lower FS and it measures 139.5 mm wide. That should get you that low end extension your looking for.

It's nothing special in the Xmax department. Only 5.5mm peak. The RS180 has 6mm peak.
