Okay, so I finally got these "built". Drivers and electronics were Christmas presents from the kids. MDF from work. Basically just screwed togeteher with no glue yet, very rough looking. Crossover looks much better than the cabs. I was so jazzed I didn't even put any AcoustStuff in. Of course I needed to "test" out what was "created" from "What is all of that stuff"??
All I can say is "Hot Da*n" These things sound just incredible!!
As a lurker since around '92, this is just what I have been waiting for. Do you get the impression that there is a bit of excitement in this post?? Just wanted to say thanks!!
Oh yeah, listening to Steve Hackett doing "Watchers of the Sky" grinning from ear to ear....
Thank you Curt, and P.E.!! This is what I have been waiting to do, and hear since the first time I saw a P.E. flyer back in ohh, 1988(??) maybe.

I agree! I built a pair of these last summer, and they sound awesome. I know there's better/more expensive stuff you can make, but for the money, I can't believe how good these sound. I'm considering making a few more for an HT setup.

Thanks for the design Curt!

I have to agree. They are great for the money involved. I have built a pair for my parents and a full 5.1 HT setup for myself.

I bought a pair of BR-1s before I knew it would be cheating myself of the pleasure of building from scratch, and then I built a Triune centre channel to match. I'm VERY happy with the Triune, I imagine the TriTrix is better. I like to go to electronics superstores and look at bundled systems that cost about what mine cost piece by piece, and feel sad for the poor people who get stuck watching movies on little plastic toy speakers.
