These are finished in oak and are cosmetically and functionally excellent. They will be tested by a local shop and they're guaranteed. Pics will be posted later if there is any interest. Price is $700 OBO for the pair.

Judging from your posts, it looks like you went speaker shopping in 1989 and bought the whole store. The CLS are the speakers that sent me in search of a subwoofer about 1990. As you have found out, they are very picky about who they mate with. I had mine mated with dual M&K 5000 at one time, then big dipole subs, 8 driver sub towers, then finally IB. So why are you selling all the ML's? Your IB sub would work real well with them.

...cutting back. As much as I love my ML's I think I'll be perfectly happy with some nice homebrew speakers.
I didn't intend to go off topic but I'm just answering your question. Someday, I'll sell this big house and buy a small place out in the country in which these simply won't fit. I want to cut back on expenses and be free of as many bills as is possible. This little place will be outfitted with photovoltaics, a water well, greenhouse, etc. Until then, I'm investing heavily into my 401K.
Why?? I want to retire fairly early and this is the only way I can make this happen. I've seen too many folks work as long as they possibly can so they can accumulate wealth and retire in relative luxury. Then they die a couple years later. I'm not going that route.

Welcome to my world. I'm thinking the same way too. I'm currently planning my next, and hopefully my last house. It will be largely underground, with only the back exposed to the winter sun for passive gain. Solar cells on the turf roof, well for water, etc. I won't be off the grid, but I won't be a slave to it either.
