So I've had the boxes for my AC 130MKII and NEO3-PDR project as well as the cross over parts and drivers just sitting around since last fall. I have been debating on how to flush mount that AC truncated frame so it went stagnant for quite a while.

I think I finally know what I'm going to do now; take the measurements of the drivers get the driver profile cut on our laser cutter through a piece of Black/Smoke plexiglass and then have a concentric circle around it so I can use the jasper jig to cut the recesses with the plexi.

So to my main point. I just threw the drivers in the boxes that will now have to be trashed; they weren't all that great to begin with as far as cosmetics go anyway and were a half inch not wide enough. So I just surface mounted the drivers and hooked them up and well WOW that AC 5 1/4 incher means business. It has the "little guy" complex as much if not more than the RS125 does.

I want to thank Pete for his patience with me when I was trying to learn the Crossover Design software and his suggestions to tweaking them. They sound amazing.

I have a lot on my plate for speaker stuff this summer so when the new cabs get built I'll post some pictures (should be early June-ish). These will be my monitors for my bedroom and will easily fill the room and go pretty low, F3 is around 55-60ish. After those are built I'm going to go after building my 5ish foot towers the NRFDs (No Replacement for Displacement)

PS I'm one of those _cool_ college boys that spends his Friday evening assembling crossovers and plopping drivers into their boxes... I didn't take my Sarcasma pill today if you couldn't tell.

And you're very welcome for whatever help I could lend. I'm just glad you're getting to hear those excellent drivers work together. And as much as you like them now, after you're done measuring and tweaking, you may find you like them even more. Both of those are stellar performers.

And speaking of Sarcasma, I haven't laughed so much with the guys at work about that ad. Wonderful stuff that Sarcasma. We need it in large doses around where I work.

Why did you choose the AC13-MK2 over the AC-130F1?

AURUM CANTUS uses AC-130MK along with AC-250F1s 10" and G2 ribbon in this design:

The AC130-MK2 was on sale for about 35 bucks and I'm cheap... granted they still cost about 150 each for the TM. But, I'm still a college kid and have to make cut backs somewhere.
