It's a good engine to say the least. The boxer design lends itself to a lower CG just to state the most obvious benefit. Still I wouldn't mind trying out an Audi TDI at some point. What's been going on, AJ?

Yeah, the preza gets along okay. Can't run it as hard as i would like to sometimes because some idiot decided to put a auto transmission in it.
On a musical note, i just turned a Squire Pbass beater i had laying around into a fretless...

Niiiiiiiiiiiiice. Give it the Jaco Pastorius treatment and it might actually sound pretty good. Spread some epoxy over the fingerboard and it will take all kinds of use and abuse. Granted his was a J-bass but hell, it's all about having fun.

Well, i've got 5 coats of poly on it. I'll be using flatwounds at first anyway so we'll see how it holds up. I'm waiting for the last coat to fully cure so i can string it up tonight. If the strings dig in bad i'll have to get some epoxy...

Back in the day in my '59 bug we just called it a flat four. 1300 cc's and 36 horses! (and no, I'm not THAT old. It was just a really old VW.) -CJB
