Subwoofer project update

My new subwoofer project is up and running. This is built using two TC Sounds TC-1000 12" drivers and a PR1821 18" passive radiator from CSS.

The sub has been working with the rest of my main system now for about a week. It's great! I am hoping to do some measurements this weekend but for now I have updated the documentation of the sub project and the accompanying filter for it in my "Project Pages" for anyone who is interested. SVS uses a driver similar to the TC1000 in down-firing configurations...

...so what about an enclosure with the drivers firing up and down, and the passive radiator firing forward? Do you find that the passive runs out of excursion with high-level tones at the tuning frequency? My AE Speakers AV12 (TC1000 variant) drives two AE Speakers PR15-1400 to their limits at tuning in three cubic feet with the 500W amp just at clipping.
