Hi Guys,
For sale 3 excellent shape piano black .75 ft boxes countersunk for Vifa P17WJ08 or Vifa P17SJ08 shielded version. I can't ship these so we need to meet in Atl and exchange these for cash. Tweeter cut is Seas 4" + or -. The box fronts are not glued, so you get replacement baffles from PE. 1 extra baffle $10.
I also have 3 SJ and 2 WJ versions of the Vifa 6.5 inch, and 5 Peerless 850122 excellent, linear 6.5 inch woofers. I can email data sheets for all the drivers.
Thanks!

Hi John,
Just for fun, help me out here: I put up an offer to sell face to face in Atlanta, and I get 3 or 4 replies, only to find out that they cannot read... and want me to sell them a $100 box ... pack it up... and ship it to, say... St. Louis. I take an hour or more of my valuable time, put out an extra, say $25 up front on fedex ground ( so I am now $125 each into these boxes) ... and then get the $55 back. What then happens is Fedex charges me a surcharge.... $35 each... and by the time I get the bill, the buyer is long gone with my $100 boxes and paid $25 to ship.
So now you... missing out on this deal.... exclaim that someone in New York should jump on this? What am I missing? Are they going to drive down from NY to do this?
So I am a simple man. I am going to keep my toys, do projects, and give them away when my basement is too full.
Thanks,
Paul

I'm not interested in the boxes...but do you still have those five Peerless CSX 850122 6.5's? I'm less than 80 miles from Atlanta and get there regularly. PM me or email fat.macs at gmail dot com and let me know what you want for these if you still have 'em.
Thanks!

PM was sent about the time I posted the reply. My email is in there as well. Hope you change your mind. I had a whole load of old Peerless drivers that were stolen by crackheads...along with my Nikon D80, a bunch of other speakers, my laptop, an external hard drive and a window A/C unit....believe it or not.
Anyway, sure would like to have the 850122's...

hey I am from New york now I am in New Jersey. do you know that for free driving back and forth would still be less then buying them! They would cost me 375 shipped to my home. 1700 miles round trip is 55 gallons at 4 is 220 I'd save money. i gotta call my wife let her know to walk home from the bus station tonight. map quest says it is only 14 hrs away. I offered an 800 dollar working focal passive subwoofer last spring no takers it is still sitting in the basement.

Some one interested can get a UPS letter envelope with a return label sent directly to you and have paid for shipping up front when they got the envelope. Just provide your address to their address + the weight (have to warn if it is more than 1 total box). The customer pays UPS & all you have to do is slap the label on, call or drop off at a UPS store/pickup area. No meetings or surprise charges! If UPS comes to your house or office, then you don't even have to drop them off!
From my work near wash dc, & since I work in a mailroom, I figured roughly $30 for me to send a pickup label to atlanta in general. Now this gets more expensive if UPS picks up from a residential location.
I would do it if you were willing to give away the cabs. Just wishing on that part.

Interesting idea, except: half the hassle is packing... safely. I pitched the boxes and packing material... so would need an expensive box, peanuts, etc.
And even that is no guarantee. We bought an antique french chair off ebay... near NYC... paid UPS store $320 to "carefully pack" it then ship it to ATL.
UPS beat it like a drum, broke it in 4 places..... inside a well packed and peanuted box.. and I am now waiting 3 weeks to get my money back... on an irrreplaceable item.
Half the fun is building speakers, anyway... so I'll build and give away or have a finer setup in my shop.
Good luck.
Paul
