Hey guys,

I've got a buddy who's trying to finish his basement and build in a home theater. To get the layout he's looking for we're gonna need an HDMI run that's gonna be about 100' long.

I've done some searching and PE carries a 40m cable, part # 186-510. Sells for about $440. Also in a Google search I came across a place called RAM electronics that has a 30m cable for about $240. Here's a link:

http://www.ramelectronics.net/audio-video/hdmi/cables-accessories/hdmi-amplified-cables/tru-reference-amplified-hdmi-hdmi-amp/prodHDMIAMP.html

Does anybody have any experience or opinions on either of these? Any opinions, or other recommendations would be great.

Thanks,

Brian W

I buy all my cables from monoprice. They have a 100ft one for ~100$. I have some of their much shorter cables and they work fine. My friend has a 35+ foot run and it works great too.
