I know the Audio Pulse will outperform the Dayton HF in wattage (1500 watts rms) and that, because of its 190 ounce magnet and massive, intricate, design, it'll do more in a smaller container while the Dayton HF's performance is highly dependent on the size of its enclosure.
What I'd like to know is which speaker will provide cleaner, more musical bass running off a 500-watt subwoofer amp. Enclosure size is not an issue.

from 18hz to 60hz in an infinite baffle the rss390hf-4 is super clean best bass I have ever heard. i think you could get the same sound in a big sealed box.

Phillip, I trust your advice. I think I'm going to open my wallet and take the plunge.

IMO, you can't buy a better 15" sub than the RSS390HF. That's why I have six of them! :D
Monte Kay is using 24 of them in his new theater in a dipole configuration. He says it's the cleanest subwoofer he's ever tested, and I know he's tested quite a few.

i vote dayton, the poorer effency of the audio pulse wont go as well with a 500 watt amp, and will have to work much harder to move the same amound of air as the 15.
for the amp check this out, i just ordered one and its suppost to arrive tomarrrow. best deal i could find, has lots of contols that ussaly cost alot more to own, and free shipping right now.
