im trying to go all dayton speakers. I still plan on doing the cut through, i would just like to get it painted first.. Tell me what you think!!
however i havnt got to the passenger door yet :/
For my cd player, i chose pioneer, they have always lasted long for me and it has a 3 band EQ, where as others in this price range didnt($100), only a 2 band. idk i like it
For my mids, i chose this one http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=295-305
for my crossover, i used this http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=260-146 .
Here are my tweeters, http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=275-035 I bought 4 of them a while back, and they pair up great with the mid i bought. I cut the holes out for them with a holesaw and a drill. it was a perfectly tight fit, so i put them in there flush and put 2 part eppoxy around the edge on the inside. I didnt want to screw it in so it would look much smoother/flush. I have lost one of mine, and until i find it i don't want to start on the other door :(
If you notice there is a big lumb on the door panel, behind that is where i mounted my crossover and my tweeters. It worked out great.
As for sound, it sounds amazing, all around. especially off of my head unit, which probobly produces around 5%THD. I'm really happy with it, but it is just the start to my whole system.
