I am looking for a binding post of a different flavor. I am familiar with Cardas' patent pending posts http://www.soniccraft.com/products/connections/bindingpost/cardas_cpbp.htm and Eichmanns http://www.soniccraft.com/products/connections/bindingpost/eichmann.htm but I want to see what else is out there.

I love the look of the Furutech binding posts (http://www.audiomania.com/shop/goods-6113.html), is there anything out there that looks similar?

As of right now I am going to go with the Cardas or Dayton binding posts.

Can I ask a question? What good is Alpha phosphor bronze conductors and eutectic brass housings if you then set-screw the wire in?

I think the proper spelling of this company's name is s-n-a-k-e o-i-l.:D

Mark

Edit: Just looked at the cardas, that one at least has a mechnical difference in the connection, so there's that....

I probably should have mentioned that I want to keep the cost below $20 per pair.

I intend on these speakers to be timeless, to me, and if the back is visible I would like a pair of posts that pleases my eyes.

Haha, not new. I am tired of always want to change things. Build them once and then leave them alone. However, there will be a removable back plate to access the crossover whenever I feel like ( :

Well, I am not sure about timeless, but you could use nice posts like Philip linked with a unique terminal plate and it would certainly be different.

Personally, I like the insulated euro types to keep shorts to a minimum.

Thank you for the link. That is a rockin' deal.

Do you connect to them with spades, plugs or bare wire? Any faults with them?

Haha, good link Daryl. Thanks ( :

I started that thread on AudioCircle in hopes of getting suggestions from guys not in DIY realm. I was hoping to see what high priced posts they had experience with. I love coming to PE to find accessories and equipment the DIY guys find of high value.

Small World.

Those Cardas posts look nice though I have not seen them personally.

They are more expensive but Cardas could be a lot more expensive than they are.
