I have a Jolida 202 and Jolida 502 integrated tube amplifiers to give away minus shipping.

Neither of these amps are in “working” condition. I did power on the 202 in the last 2-3 years and I had some sound but nothing that would power a speaker to moderate levels in a small room.

The 502 was used very recently and then it stopped playing music. I found a burnt resistor.

I intended to rebuild these amps but have never gotten around to it. Both amps have RCA input connections that need work (broken connectors, broken lead wires, etc.) The chassis are in good shape.

The 202 is all point to point wired and the 502 has circuit boards. From what I understand from speaking with Jolida is that the 202 was from their very first production run and the 502 was a 2nd to 3rd production run.

These are free to any who want them. I am not including the tubes, since I have no faith in the tubes I have.

Please be sure to ask plenty of questions about these amps before committing.

Thanks.

Hi,
Back in 1977 when I was 8 years old my dad gave me my first stero - a Dyna tube reciever, a Gerard turntable, and a pair of "db" brand 8" two way bookshelf speakers.

I no longer have any of those components, for various reasons. But I miss the sound of my old tube amp, and haven't really enjoyed listening to music since I "upgraded" to my Onkyo reciever and tried various speakers.

I've done a little electronics repair, no expert by any means, but I should be able to replace a burnt out resistor and test for other failed components with a DMM. I'd like to have the 502 and try to repair it.

Question: do you have a rough idea how much the tubes will cost?
EDIT: I've looked around and found prices, created new post below, looks like a set will cost about $100 ~ unless I read some reviews explaining why one particular type or another might be better...

Hello Critofur,

You are welcome to the 502. If you send me you email address I will send you some pics of the unit.

I bought a quad pair of 6550s from the Tube Store (www.tubestore.com) I would guess around 100 for some basic tubes. if you get some NOS tubes this amp can sound nice, especially if you upgrade the caps, internal wiring and the RCA and binding posts. I think I have the schematic for this amp, but I will need to check. We are moving and I will have to find it.

My zip is 60115. I have a wood box my father shipped the amp in that I will use to ship it to you. What is your address so I can get you an idea of shipping?

Very Best Regards,

DRB

Great, thanks, will PM you my address now. Email me a pic at critofur at yahoo if you like, that would be cool.

EDIT: I only asked him for the 502, not the other one, because I didn't want to be greedy and I knew somebody else would want one also.

If something falls through with either of the other guys, I want one! Don't care which! I know it won't, they're free for chrissakes, but keep me in mind if it does, OK?
