It should be a nice amp! Have fun and be careful. Plenty of HV under the hood! Happy birthday!

Thanks Blair! I can't wait, and will be very cautious. Did you ever move you SE KT88s?

Yes,

They are all gone. I'll post my newest tube project in a few weeks. Maybe sooner, but I'm having issues with the bias circuit.

Is the Jolida functional?

The Jolida is a definite "maybe." I'll tell you more in the next days....

I want to see what you're up to.. Working on an auto-bias?

No auto bias, just amps that do not need any efficiency at all:cool:

6 output tubes per block... 6L6? 6550 Ultralinear?

It is 6 X 6550 in PPP U/L. Should be good for easily over 100w with a modest B+. Hopefully the parallel tubes give me a much lower distortion figure as well.

If anything, that amp is probably just needing a few caps and resistors. It should be good for at least 50w per channel. There ain't much to it! As stated before, just don't get too eager to jump under it until you test the B+ to make sure it is down. That is another nice feature of having an IEC connector too. You can unplug it to eliminate any accidents. I've seen people "unplug" thier soldering iron instead of the amp. Nothing bad came of it, but it is easy to do when caught up in the moment.

Have fun and keep us updated!
