grill for rb kit

im thinking about these grills for the woofers on my rb kits. i can make them fit under the speaker by sanding off about a 1/16 of an inch from the speaker but it will shield the it just a bit. do you guys think this would have a huge effect on the sq?

I'm not sure about the sanding off the back of your speaker. I guess an experiment is in order, eh?

I used the same grilles over an Audax 2way. The tweeter protruded too much, so I used my shop press to bulge the grill out in the center. Not exactly on topic, but maybe good for some kind of idea generation.

no, i would just have to remove a little off of the the plastic edge. would not touch the rubber surround at all. my concern is, will it hurt the sound quality or dispersion.
