View Full Version : Who's coming and what are you bringing to PE's event?

AJ had a good idea (and beat me to it by about a 1/2-day). Just in case there are registration problems again this year for the PE event, I'm starting this thread. So, those who have registered please speak up, stating what you're bringing and whether the automated confirmation message appeared after you registered. PE, if they choose, can compare the registrations they've received to the ones documented in this thread.
I'll start:
I registered two pairs of speakers, both in the Open Group, one with costs below $200 and the other with costs above $200, plus I did receive the automated confirmation message immediately thereafter.

I also registered two pairs of speakers, one in the open class >$200, and one in the Dayton Class. I also did receive the automated confirmation message on the Web page, but I have not gotton any kind of E-Mail confirmation.

According to Rich at PE, they aren't intending to send out any email confirmations until after the July 1st registration expiration date.

I have registered. I am either bringing the OB project or the "Steppers". THe OB project is hard to rank but it should fall in the <$200 class. It depends largely on how they score buyout drivers. The steppers would be a Dayton project.

Did the automated confirmation message appear on your computer immediately after you completed your registration?

Something with Peerless Nomex "buyout" woofers and Vifa small neo "buyout" tweeters.
And possibly "bass bins" with Peerless 10" subs - either the XLS Nomex or SLS paper.
(Assuming I don't have to work on that day, starting a new job on July 6th...)
EDIT: Oh - and I guess it better sound great, or else all of you will think I've been talking out of my azz all these years saying how every speaker I've heard is just "mediocre" at best...

Have you officially registered your entries and if you did, did you get the automatic confirmation message afterwards?

I got a basic thank you for registering screen.

That's what I was referring to. Thanks.

I got a basic thank you for registering screen.
I just registered again and just get a web page saying:
"Your Information Has Been Submitted, Please Press The Back Button To Continue Browsing. "
I'll let the thread know if there's any e-mail confirmation
By the way, my entry is just a standard Natalie P MTM pair, but with some hopefully interesting enclosure features, like mass loading, a contraint layer damping system in the main chamber, a cork-isolated baffle and driver bracing. I like the sound, and wint to find out if anyone else does.
Have fun,
Frank

They said they will send confirmation emails later. If you read the main "sticky" thread about Dayton DIY '09, I think you'll see it posted there?

Confirmation Message - no email yet. Am bringing the Zaph Audio ZRT's as I got em tuned properly today. The Hivi/Seas will be at Iowa as there's no way I'll be done with them by July 11.

I'm definitely going to be there but as always, not bringing anything. I built the quad RSS390 IB sub this year but can't fit that into my car. The next project is the pair of line arrays going in the theater that will be 6-8' tall. Yeah, those aren't going to make it.
I'm going to try to get a pair ready for next year's event. Really. I promise :D

I registered 4 pair, and did get the immediate response and statement to keep browsing.
Let's see;
Vijon, Open-Class, >$200 ($230 drivers alone, retail).
Propensity, Open-Class, >$200 ($344 drivers alone, retail).
NEHD, Open-Class, >$200 ($205 for drivers alone, retail, *not* sale prices).
Sophomores, Open-Class, <$200 ($52 for drivers alone, retail).
I know they are all bookshelves or table-rested in style, and I DID NOT spend that much money on every project either. I couldn't do this hobby if I spent frivelously. Frugality, yes, frugality.
Later,
Wolf

AJ had a good idea
Well, a broken clock is right twice a day, so it was bound to happen.
Registered this morning, no confirm as of yet (hmmm, deja vu ;)).
One open driver >$200 and one <$200 project (2 total).
cheers,
AJ
p.s. I'm going to post in the main (sticky) thread from now as originally suggested, as these (like this thread) tend to drop off the screen quickly
