Has anyone tried this? Does it work well?

I'm in a new house, with a new listening room. The good news is that it's nice and big... plenty of room to get my speakers away from the walls.

The bad news is that it's boomy and echo-y sounding...

I have some rigid fiberglass panels for helping with mids/highs... but I don't have any bass traps for the corners.

Fortunately, I have plenty of room for simple fiberglass rolls stacked up as bass traps. Seems like a nice simple solution... provided that it actually works...

Has anyone here tried this?

so so the rolls are not as dense as the pressed boards. but they will do some good. you can use sheets to make them look better. I have four rolls in my kitchen to absorb dishwasher noise.

Has anyone here tried this? Many have, usually contained within wooden or wire frames covered with fabric so you don't go through life perpetually itchy.

Lunch,

If you have enough of the panels, cut them into triangles and make your own bass traps for the corners. I used this method with OC703 making two 8 foot high ones with a 24” inch face to them. I believe they work very well along with the “normal” panels I made.

I have attached a picture of them frames I made a one showing a finished one.

Make sure you get rolls without backing.

If you take a roll home listen how it affects the car sound. Trust me, when it is still in the package it works as intended for bass trapping.
