I'm looking for authoritative and informative articles on ear care for sound engineers. Also, anything describing the ill effects of being subjected to loud noises or loud music just before one goes into a mixing session.
I'm lead soundman at my local church and I'm trying to gently educate the other soundmen and worship leader (including myself) on such things as ear care and even the psychology of how our preconceived biases can sometimes dictate what we hear rather then our ears dictating what we hear :). It seams my team is constantly adjusting mix levels and eq settings with altered hearing:D
