Not my picture, but these are the ones I have

Had them for ten years and never had any problems out of them. Shop that did them back in the day put them in a sealed box. I was just curious if I could get some more bass out of them if I ported them box. So, I'm wondering if anyone has experience with Orions and know what they like. :)

I'm not sure how many cubic feet the box is, but I can get a rough estimate(weird shaped box).

IIRC the XTRs really only work sealed. They had a highish Qts that did not allow them to be used ported unless the box was really HUGE

I had a pair of those in a truck I owned back in late 90s.....I recall they were specifically designed for small sealed box which is why I chose them...space was definitely a limitation in my truck as it was a regular cab. They sounded quite good in the small sealed boxes although I also tried both RF Audiophiles and Image Dynamics in those same small sealed boxes with even better results.

Orion used to make some kick a** amps too - they were all I ever ran back when I was heavy into car audio scene....I have lost touch with who makes all the good equip now though and am not even sure if Orion is still a player in car audio scene.

Guess I'll just have to add more power if I want it louder!! :)
