Very well done small budget documentary. Watch the wives' faces during the "Fever" section!

If I ever get to that point, I hope my wife shoots me. Really.
But I still think it's cool.

Some observations.
Sadly, given the resources and time.... I could get that fever. Fortunately (I guess) I have neither the resources or time.
I've been in some rooms very much like that and the sound was very good indeed. All the $$ and effort can, but probably don't always, make a difference.
In my experience, I think there is something to system synergy (maybe it is complimentary errors, or not multiplying errors....).
I think I saw a big 845 tube amp at one point. Let flames begin but... really BIG triode amps can make really great sound, more engaging and satisfying sound. Those big, hot, high-carbon-footprint monsters are doing something very right. Technical pros and cons.... who cares at that point. Can't afford 'em though.
The analog system was way cool... but regardless of you it might sound, I could now never give up the remote and music server. I can get close enough and not leave the soft leather of my seat.

I just ordered a calibrated EMM-6 microphone to see where I need to start in the upgrade of my 10+ year old 5.1 system. After seeing this (GREAT) video, I am seriously wondering if I should just stop now  :D !!!
That was good... lots of analog... older recordings... talk about the passion of the "times"... separate amps 'n' preamps... and more sweet analog!!!
