This question may have been covered before! Is there any strict rule that the component position in the series trap (parallel across the woofer) is always with the resistor tied to ground. Can the L C or resistor be switched to any position in the series chain? So can it be... coil / Resistor / Cap.?
Thanks... Bill

I've always found it prudent to go cap coil resistor, because then it's easier to visualize adding the inductor's resistance to the resistor's (which you should be doing)

Yes.. but from an electrical standpoint, the trap will function the same regardless of the component position.
Yes - No??

In ANY series branch, the order of the components is immaterial. They will have the same effect on the transfer function regardless.
